Harm Reduction
Just like gender and sexual identity exist on a spectrum, substance use exists on a spectrum. The spectrum of use can range from severe use to complete abstinence with many variations in between, including managed use and safer use.
Do you find yourself drinking or using more than you intended?
Have you thought about making changes to your drug or alcohol use but you don’t know where to start?
Have you felt disconnected from family or friends?
Has someone else suggested you make changes but you don’t see your use as a problem?
These questions are not uncommon for LGBTQIA+ folks. I can work with you from a Harm Reduction perspective to get curious about your use without demanding abstinence or any specific outcome for you. As always, you are the expert in your life and you get to set goals you are interested in achieving. We will work together to better understand your relationship to drugs and alcohol and explore motivation for change. Through this process, I will help you reach a place of deeper understanding and healing.
